Millionaire executive Steven Beard woke up screaming. He reached over and called for an ambulance. The paramedics worked in vain to stem his bleeding. The seventy-four-year-old writhed in pain but out of the corner of his eye, he saw his wife Celeste enter the room. "Oh my God," Celeste said. "Steve! What happened?"
