Austin -s fascinating, insightful, biblically based fictionalized account of King Hezekiah of Judah brings the Old Testament to life in a way that will take the listener back to those incredibly tumultuous times. She bases her book on the main events in the life of Hezekiah, the prophets Isaiah and Micah, the land of Israel, and the city of Judah. In particular, she relates how the Assyrian army surrounded Hezekiah -s kingdom and how his close advisors disagreed with his ideas of governing by divine law; they wanted him to make peace with the atrocious bullies. Austin -s descriptive page-turner is rich in history. Read by Suzanne Toren, "Song of Redemption" is an informative, enlightening, and engaging novel. Recommended for popular historical fiction collections." -Carol Stern, Glen Cove P.L., NY"Copyright 2006 Library Journal, LLC Used with permission.
