Sean Cress and Montgomery Morgan have a steamy encounter in an elevator that has a consequence neither could have imagined. Though both are skeptical about the long-term prospects of a relationship, their chemistry wins out. Both Sean and Montgomery grow into people who can love and respect each other through the book, dealing with their own parental issues on the way toward becoming parents themselves. Bryant also sprinkles the book with food descriptions that will leave the reader hungry, fitting for a book where the hero is a famous chef. VERDICT Bryant's (An Offer from Mr. Wrong) surprise-pregnancy story succeeds on the strength of the characters.--Brigid Black
